I thought I’d start a fun player of the month (POTM) series, shouting out a player I thought really stood out each month, and give some background and history of the player as well. I am happy to start out with Federico Rose. Born on July 8th, 2004, in Toronto, Canada, Rose started his footballing career at Club Atlético Velez Sarsfield, right outside Buenos Aires. Rose emerged onto the scene as a large target forward with plus dribbling, a rare trait in today’s game. He spent about 3 years at the club with much success and developing his talent and eventually decided to transfer to NK Tabor Sezana, a 11,636 km trip, moving to a new country having to make new friends and meet new teammates. As one could imagine, this must have been difficult for a 20 year old to travel that far and in a sense, start from scratch with a new club. Despite these challenges he spent year one doing very well for the club, posing a very respectable 6 goals and 6 assists in 24 matches along with an average rating for the year of 7.05. In the 2025 season he started out flying with a goal against Krsko and a few games after had a brace against Bistrica (second place team). His rating so far this year is an extremely impressive 7.38 netting 4 goals in 6 games (and 6 goals in all competitions). He has really used his speed, size and strength to develop plays down the feild and create space for himself and has really grown into his role at Tabor being the catalyst to their attack. A fun fact his goal celebration is from a show he enjoys (and I as well) Naruto, Naruto is a master in the ninja world and Rose appears to be mastering the football world.
